Members of the Department

  • Mrs R. Grist
    Mrs Grist teaches French in the department but she can also speak arabic and italian.
  • Mrs L. Crossley
    Mrs Crossley teaches French and German. She is an Advanced Skills Teacher and a Leading Practitioner for the SSAT.
  • Mrs K. Donoghue
    Mrs Donoghue is a teacher of Spanish and French in the department. She is also Learning and Achievement Leader for Year 10.
  • Mrs J. Tular
    Mrs Tular teaches 3 languages in the department. She is works part-time in the department.
  • Mrs J. Thompson
    Mrs Thompson currently teaches German and French in the department on a part-time basis. She bemoans these exciting times.
  • Mrs H. Pollard
    Mrs Pollard teaches every language you can think of and she is also Learning and Achievement Leader for Y9.
  • Mrs G. Stamper
    Mrs Stamper is the Head of Department and she teaches Spanish and French.
  • Mrs B. Young
    Mrs Young is the Headteacher at Royds and although she does not teach any French this year she can speak the language rather well as she comes from South West France.
  • Mr D. Heylings
    Mr Heylings is the Director of Specialist Language College. He teaches German in the department.
  • Mr D. Gleisner
    Mr Gleisner is the Second in Department and currently manages the KS2 delivery of languages in our primary schools. He teaches French, German and Italian.
  • Miss T. Mouat
    Miss Mouat teaches Spanish and is responsible for the delivery of KS3 Langages in the department.
  • Miss S. Harmer
    Miss Harmer is a teacher of Spanish and French in the department. She also teachers Languages in our primary schools. She mentors the student teachers we welcome to the department.
  • Marie-Hélène Hares
    Marie-Hélène teaches French speaking to pupils at Royds and Rodillian. She works from October until the end of May.
